: Can Rocket Spanish Work? :: By Joseph Shalita
: When you decide to learn Rosetta Stone Software
Spanish, you will most likely be bombarded with many options both in the real world and online, one of which is Rocket Spanish. The biggest problem is knowing which ones are worth the effort and money and which ones probably are not for you. In order to answer that, it would help a great deal if you sit down and evaluate what your language learning goals actually are.To speak Spanish, or any other language is not something you can do by just buying a computer program, use it, and think that you will achieve some sort of decent level with only a few days or weeks of instruction. It just doesn't work that way. What you can do though, is to reach a decent enough level in a few weeks to get by in a restaurant or in public having a friendly conversation with someone.Since cost is a real factor, you must have a good idea of what you are prepared to spend. The expensive route can include a Spanish tutor to give you private lessons, however this can really run into the hundreds if not thousands of dollars. The other way to go is the self-learning way. The good thing is that because of the internet and modern advances in technology, this is a very viable way to go. There are a great number of computer software programs available now, and they can stretch the complete range of possible prices. Some are very expensive, and others are not. Don't be fooled though. Just because a Spanish learning program is cheap does not mean it is bad.Rocket Rosetta Stone Chinese
Spanish is probably the best example of this out on the market today. This program is geared toward those of you who are at a beginner level, and happen to learn better listening, sort of audio orientated. The opposite of this would be something like Rosetta Stone Spanish which is more visual in nature. With Rocket Spanish, you work with audio files which are either downloaded to your computer, or listened to while navigating a password protected part of their website. There are also volumes of written material that come along with these files. One advantage is that you can listen to your lessons in the car or even download them to your Ipod, which is something you cannot do with Rosetta Stone. You must use it on your computer. Both programs are great, it just depends on how you work best. The price of Rocket Spanish however gives it a distinct advantage. It runs about one hundred dollars, which is a far cry to the two hundred to five hundred dollar price tag of Rosetta Stone. Because of this, it is a very good entry level product that should get you speaking Spanish nice and quick. Some of the things that you will learn are how to introduce yourself, ordering in restaurants, and generally getting around on your vacation to Spain or Mexico.Probably the most important factor in any language program is whether or not it can keep your interest on the long run. Boring is bad, and also a waste of money, but this product is very interesting.Of course, the only way you will learn Spanish is by using these programs and working hard. The program can not learn for you. The trick is to work with something that will keep you interested over the long period so you can learn. Rocket Spanish will fit that bill nicely, and will not eat away at the bank account or credit card. That is a great combination. Rosetta Stone Spanish (Spain)
